Second Annual Run for the Rivers
Saturday, May 28, 2011, 9:00 am atop Peet's Hill in Bozeman

The Run for the Rivers benefits three local watershed groups: the Greater Gallatin Watershed Council, Montana Watercourse, and Blue Water Task Force!

The run follows the trail system through Bozeman

Small group focus session.
Residents identify watershed issues and concerns in small group break-out sessions.
Community Focus Event.
 
In March 2005, more than 120 citizens from diverse backgrounds came together at the Gallatin Gateway Community Center.  This focus of this event was to engage the participants in identifying natural resource issues of concern to them in the Gallatin watershed.  View the event Final Report.

Funding for this event was made possible through grant funds provided by the Montana Department of Natural Resources Watershed Planning & Assistance Grant Program and the Montana Association of Conservation Districts Local Empowerment Program grant with administration provided by the Gallatin Conservation District.

Ground-Water/Surface Water Interaction Panel & Community Roundtable.
Fifty citizens attended the Greater Gallatin Watershed Council’s 2005 Annual Meeting in June to hear a diverse panel of experts explain their perspectives on the current status of knowledge about ground water/surface water interactions in the watershed, what is needed to resolve conflicts, and the role of scientific research on these issues.
